Ukrainian UAVs have targeted Russia's Bashneft facility in the city of Ufa, situated approximately 1,400 km from Ukraine, causing blasts and a blaze, according to a source in the Ukrainian intelligence agency.

This marks the 3rd Ukrainian security service deep strike in the region in the last month. Such operations illustrate that there are no safe places in the far hinterland of the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian President Appeals to Trump to Mediate Ceasefire in the Conflict

Electricity Restoration Work in the Capital

Work continued on Saturday to restore power in Kyiv, after Russian attacks.

Energy had been restored to more than 800,000 residents by the weekend and the largest utility provider announced the primary work to restore power was concluded though certain disruptions continued.

Anti-Aircraft Operations and UAV Jamming

The Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems neutralized 54 out of seventy-eight enemy drones sent towards Ukraine during the night, the aerial defense command reported on Saturday.

The Russian defense officials claimed it eliminated forty-two drones over Russian territory.

Cuba Rejects Accusations of Deploying Soldiers to the War

Havana on the weekend denied US assertions it has deployed soldiers to participate in the Ukraine war, while declaring the government "are without precise information about Cuban nationals" participating "voluntarily" or "as part of the armed units of the conflicting parties".

The ministry in the capital announced 26 Cuban citizens had been sentenced to incarceration from five to 14 years for participating as mercenaries since last September when information spread of Cuban nationals being dispatched to the frontlines in the conflict.
